We are soaked through every day the rain is none stop has been for weeks on the bright side I still have 9 tomatoes in the pollytunnel they are all alive but the tomatoes are slow growing and no flowers on any I’m hoping to keep them going until next month

We have started getting deer around here if you seen we’re I lived you would be amazed as I am my grandoughter disturbed one when she was out walking it must be two years ago she says it was a red deer I’ve known about them for about 8 years but the guy who showed me the photos he had taken swore me...

How deep douse the clay go down ,a big part of my plot is an old duck pond I bought an 8 inch auger and drilled a hole 10 feet deep I then filled the with pebbles and broken up bricks

Retropants , you probably know but put your green tomatoes in a brown cardboard box in a dark place check weekly then when they start ripening check daily

My tomatoes are still doing ok in the poly tunnel although I’ve lost a few to blight and had to cut a lot of leaves off I think I’ve removed around 6 plants and what’s left don’t have many leaves the bottom end of the poly has cucumber mixed with the tomatoes which must be on the 12th truss the top ...

I have a green house at home and a pollytunel on my plot I prefer the pollytunel by a long mile my green house in winter is running with condensation and always damp except on the hottest days then I have to ventilate my polly on the other hand is always dry the other advantage is you can get double...

I think the charity kitchens is the best idea . I give a lot of mine to family but we seem to suffer more blight than most , I had 10 tumbling toms growing in baskets I put the baskets in a line and put netting under them I just go and fill a bag each day by picking of the netting every body is gett...

I prefer poached egg , I use an none stick omelet pan as I don’t like washing up I buy a certain one off Amazon they cost £14 I only use wooden spoons in it as I live on my own it’s easy to control
