Cleaning washing machine door seals
Hi all Rubber door seals on our AEG clothes washer have accumulated black mould which won't rub off with usual wiping. Clothes sometimes get 'black marks' on them. Plant-friendly preservative
Is there on the market a weood preservative that does not repel climbing plants, such as Virginia Creeper or Runner Beans? I find they won't go near tanelised timber, or frames with creosote, spirit preservative etc. Thanks

Runner beans -location
As part of a veg garden reorganisation I plan to move my runner bean trench. Can anyone please advise on whether beans need lots of sun, or are they OK in a shady spot? My bean supports are canes which are fixed up on both sides of a horizontal plank, supported by a post at each end.

This year I’ve been totally fed up with losing most of my young vegetables, from beans to beetroots, to ravaging hoards of sparrows, aided and abetted by a flock of pigeons.
