My greenhouse has double doors, the reason I chose glass over plastic is reinforced today, 60-70 mile an hour winds have destroyed some polytunnels nearby.

I have my Dads old rhubarb wine recipe if you need it, makes a delicious rose if you make it from the early redder stems.

Just had my last couple of strawberries in the greenhouse this morning and cut some grass again!! The Stawbs did have a couple of flowers on them, but I cut them off so any last bit of growing goes into the plants, they are new this year. so not over loading them.

The rain is more on the west side today, we just have very strong winds which drying everything nicely, so I went train spotting today.(just click on the link to see it)

Tigerburnie. It must be somewhat alarming to find these situations happening. I used to have pies of mixed game meat from the farmers market, pigeon, rabbit were the main ingredient along with a bit of pheasant or wild duck, delicious. When I used to shoot back in the '70's my mates mum used to cook most of what we shot, mostly rabbit and pigeon with the odd hare, rook or gre...

We were cut off by the floods yesterday, but seemingly we can now get to Arbroath, but the roads north to Montrose are still flooded, the river locally is almost eight feet up and the Tay in Perth is almost 19 feet above summer level and parts of the fair city are flooded.

We are on the frontline, Reds to the north and Greys to the West(the sea is to the East and South of us), neither in our village as we are in a sea of poly tunnels and tatties and barley, barely a tree to be seen.

Some very posh restaurants in old London town are selling Squirrel for dinner, I had some a while back and was disappointed, I thought they'd taste of nuts....................................

I feed the birds and sometimes the wildlife feeds me....................................though I've not had Pidgeon and squirrel for breakfast..................
