I begin feeding in late October usually, a peanut feeder to start, then add a fat ball feeder and then sunflower seeds. I only use one propagator to curb my over enthusiasm, it will probably be around February when the onions come out for potting on from cells to larger yoghurt pots. This coming year I shall repeat the trials I did last year and start peas in the prop too, then chillies and then tommies.

just sowed my Onion seeds in the heated propagator, 36 white sturon and 36 Robinsons Mammoth Red, a bit later than I had planned , but then we used to always sow them on Boxing Day in the past.

Dry here but cold, minus 4 just now, quite a bright day today so we went to St Andrews for a pre Xmas mooch round the shops and spent most of our money in the farm shop buying meat, must get my Onion seeds sown this week.

That is horrendous, I'd have thought you would qualify for some sort of help, either with the drainage, or in some form of compensation for your lost crops.

I can't think of much that's edible that will like their feet wet in winter, will rice grow in your neck of the woods?
