Much better today. Weather overcast and NE wind blowing.
Managed to get most of the spuds planted. have now run out of prepared ground! A neighbour gave me a whole row of leeks, Will spend the evening freezing then. Started raining as soon as I got home Good timing.

Had planned a morning planting spuds etc on the allotment, then down came the rain. Ended up at the garden centre What rip-off prices. Afternoon spent mowing a very wet lawn. then sowing runner beans in peat pots, Late afternoon brillant sun.

Stored Spuds

Any ideas as to the reason that my stored spuds are sprouting in their bags (potato bags from our local chippie) Did I store them to early Sept) or could it be the warm autumn?

We have foxes on our allotment, they ruin fleece by tearing large holes to get under, an tips on a deterent would be most helpful.
