This is my first year growing shallots but if it were me and there are only a few going to seed I would dig them up and see what is there and use it up.

If you have some whole shallot thingys (bulbs?) I see no reason why you can't pickle them now. Have a go, anyway.

Help! I wonder if anyone can advise me please how to proceed with growing sweet potatoes. I can't find the original instructions.

Having potted the slips on arrival as advised, they are now shooting and I wonder what to do next? How do they grow?
